Artificial Intelligence is becoming increasingly pervasive and is regularly cited as a key focus of tech advancement. AI is also likely to take hold of the recruitment process in businesses given its potential to increase efficiencies, identify strong candidate matches and to avoid possible human unconscious bias. This could free up recruiters to spend more time on areas where human interaction is critical. No doubt this will create complex questions in relation to automated decision making for the purposes of GDPR so companies will need to approach this area with care, but there is obvious opportunity for businesses here.
