I'm pleased to say that we have just published the Foot Anstey Retail Report on the theme of People flowing from original research conducted earlier this year.
The findings of the report cover the attitudes and opinions of senior leaders' in the retail industry on the impact of employment legislation, Brexit and flexible working. One of the more interesting findings has been that the employers felt changes to the National Living Wage would more likely impact jobs at head office than on the front line – and there seemed to be a correlation with the important role front line staff play in delivering a differentiated customer experience.
The report can be downloaded from the attached article and makes a worthwhile read for anyone involved in the retail sector.
Research by Top 100 UK law firm Foot Anstey shows a majority of retail leaders, if faced with a squeeze caused by the NLW, would rather keep front-line staff and cut back on head office headcount and other expenses.
