There are multiple issues impacting the pipeline of talent and specifically diverse talent in the tech industry. There is a recognised shortage of coders with intermediate experience due to historic freezes on recruitment of juniors and so a greater need to now raise numbers in this area. However, there is concern that this pipeline cannot be addressed without government help to enhance education around tech related subjects and for business to attract and promote a diverse population of people into these roles.
