It's widely accepted that digital technology and the understanding of its benefits are the vital next step for construction industry modernisation.
On the 15th October the Construction Industry Training Broad published a white paper on unlocking construction's digital future. Based on research which covers companies that operate in England, Scotland and Wales, it explores what those skills and competencies are and how industry can ensure they are developing.
The report highlights that this is more than just Building Information Modelling as the continued development of a broader swathe of digital technologies impacts the industry large and small. For those of us involved in how technology is affecting the way we look at contracting and what the future might look like it provides valuable insight.
