By Nathan Peacey

A recurring theme in the West of England is one of collaborations facilitating innovation and growth, making the whole greater than the sum of the parts, and stimulating ecosystems that may help us flourish in LABB (Life After Brexit in Bristol).

This one is between the University of Bristol and UWE, with Watershed and Opposable VR – organisers of VR World Congress. Also involved are the BBC, Bath Spa University and We The Curious (formerly At-Bristol).

Pretty cool stuff too.

Bristol’s dedicated VR Lab becomes a reality after gaining financial backing Bristol is to strengthen its role as a leading centre for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) with the opening in January of one of the UK’s first dedicated research centres for the fast-growing sector.
